Default 6-Speed Boot mod

I am going to try to modify my shift boot's stitching to match the Cedar stitching on the seats. I went to an Arts and Crafts store today and found thread that matches perfectly. I also talked to a girl that is a fashion major and had her take a look at my seats. She said the stitching wasn't very complicated and she could just continue it on my shift boot.

Here is a break down on cost:

Thread: $1.25
Labor: Cost of dinner for two (and I get food too!)
----------------------------------------------------------
Total: No more than $30, plus I got a date with a hot fashion major!

Its a win/win situation, I get a sweet (and cheap) mod plus I get to take a nice girl out for a nice dinner...

Oh I will, she said she would try to find time this weekend to work on it with me. I am really excited to see how this works out.

BTW, I forgot to mention that the thread that matches is actually PINK! The color on the spool says "salmon" but if you hold it up to sunlight it is definitely a dark pink. The funny thing is I found a German made thread and it looks nearly identical. I can't believe Chrysler used PINK! C'mon who made this decision...

That would be a nice conversation piece over dinner. The funny thing is that if you walk around my college campus you will see a ton of guys wearing pink shirts (not me). Pink seems to be the new red. I know a ton of girls that love it when guys wear pink. I would never own a pink shirt, its just not a color I want wear in public. I'm not sure if everyone around the country (and the world for that matter) have seen men wearing pink. Its just too weird for me...

pink was last year's "spring color." this year its supposed to be teal/turquoise. just FYI from a straight guy -- :P

i refer to my interior color as a brick red, FWIW.

Haha, thanks for the tip! Although, I think I will stick to colors you won't find in an Easter basket. I like the sound of Brick Red, I might start using that.

BTW, I think we have sister cars...
