Thumbs up Re: finally ... stripes!

I like them. Don't know that I would do it to mine, but I like them.

Pretty good...but thinking only your color and maybe a darker red would be able to pull it off without them looking like a tacky add-on.

Now that I take a closer look at the pic...please tell me that is a reflection of some sort and not painted yellow calipers...

...I see...well at least it matches your plates somewhat.

Is silver tint illegal in NY?...(if not, it might go well with the rest of your car)...

you know i didn't always agree with what you've had to say on this forum, but i at least respected your opinions; you do have good points sometimes. but coming after me for having gold calipers and NASCAR plates is pretty eff'n weak from someone with "puddle lights" on their car. we don't need your opinion ALL the time.

i won't start a war here. respond however you want (and i'm sure you will); i won't continue to hijack the thread --

thank you andrew; look who is talking you keep one nice car yourself. --

Its official, I'm going to be getting those stripes done FOR SURE! I have a guy who can do that for me. So there 2 3/16 inches each, just wanna be sure. It flows VERY well on the car and IMO, someone with the cedar colored interior could match them up on their car. It may take some looking to find a vinyl color to match it, but you will find it. IMO, an Alabaster Crossfire with either a medium blue or red set of stripes at the bottom would look sweet. I can't wait to do this inexpensive mod to the car, just didn't think there was anything out there to make the car stand out and then BAAAAAAAAAM, there it is!

Until you just pointed it out, I didn't even notice that the plate was a NASCAR one...my point was that the plates gold, the calipers are gold, so basically a theme...plain and simple, nothing more was meant by the comment. Also convenient you deleted from my quote a sincere suggestion for silver tint to go along with the rest of your car in that you seem to take pride in making your vehicle look nice just as I do for my car...

Maybe next time asking for clarification about a comment might be a better course of action then dishing out insults yourself...

one thing to note Roger is that the stripes may interfere with the door jamb. i can take a close-up pic if you want. the reason i had to use 2 3/16" (i would have rather used something a tick wider) is because of the door jamb. you'll see what i mean when you start playing with them. check a sign shop for the vinyl. i bought a strip of silver vinyl for less than $10 IIRC.

also, i cut the stripes at a 45° angle up top. that'll give you a nice forward slant when you apply them. don't forget the soapy water and a squeegee. post pics --
