'04 1sr gear only, lights on dash
I shop ebay and have contacted approx 10 companys selling mercedes 722.6 conductor plates, even listed for for mercedes slk320 and they say their plates do not work for the crossfire. I want to do this once and would prefer using MB parts to aftermarket. Is there something I am missing or ???? If not a MB made item, will aftermarket work?
Example:
Tell the guy at NAPA you have a 2003 SLK320 and that you need an oil filter. He iwll sell you a fleece filter.
Tell him you have an 05 Crossfire - he will sell you a cheap, crappy, paper filter that will collapse under the 90pounds of cold oil pressure the M112 produces (higher with 5W40 oil).
But it's the same engine...................
Wow, this is good stuff to know guys! Specific car forums are always the place to really get to know the car. Thank you for the tip. From now on I drive a Mercedes.
The conductor plate, fluid and a dipstick are ordered. I plan to carefully measure the level before draining the trans.
