Default Fuel pump hum

The fuel pump hum is a problem inside the car. Is the pump mounted ridged to the chassis? Is there a insulator that can be used to isolate the harmonics? 2004 Crossfire.

I've been a member here for ten years, two months. I've never heard this one before.
if it is making THAT much noise, replace it. While you are at it, replace the filter/regulator, associated hoses and clamps as well.

I posted the same question in April of 2013 after owning my 04 for a couple of months. I replaced the fuel pump and the loud hum went away.

30Aug2019.....Replaced the fuel pump. Ah Yes...…..noise is gone. Thanks to you fellas who responded with good advise. With the fuel pump/filter assembely so nicely vib-isolated , I'm supprised that it made that mush noise.

My opinion but;

If you want reliability, get a HONDA.

Our cars are designed and built by the Daimler Mercedes organization. I've owned many Daimler cars. Best engineering (maybe) in the world, built with the cheapest parts.
In my two remaining Crossfires I have replaced Screems, fuel pumps, Security pumps and the external water pump in the SRT. Neither is near 100K.

Great cars in many respects but get used to it.
And be glad this Forum is here to assist in getting help and advice.
