Rob has changed his expectation date three times The skreem and a functioning key up until the other day did not exist. Is it likely they ever will,,,hopefully and maybe but dam doubtful . Wolfstalker gave all you observers an option !!!!!! You listed sevral companies that can provide what MDP is doing. can you prove that. If so let the crossfire members know about the other oprions that they might have.
Your an observer who likes to chirp,,,bring something to the forum table TOOL<<<<MAN. What do you know besides complain !!!!
So you show your true colors. You made something up, when you were called out on it, you flipped out. I'm not going to quarrel with you even after you have posted inflammatory statements about me.

Emery you are acting a fool. I have to question if you are signed onto this forum under different names. Your whining sounds familiar.
If you look at posts from Toolman he has been nothing but helpful to the people on the forum. Even fixing a forum members car he does not know.

I would like Toolman to answer the question I asked of him... he hasn't answered Yet. We can all benefit from his advice. He mentioned that other companies can create keys like SOS and he said others . I would appreciate for the benefit of everyone that I might ask what and who these other companies are . Legitimate question .Help put me in contact with these companies that can make keys and clone a skreem so we are all allowed options.

I only have one identity on the crossfire forum, your speculations are exactly that unfounded and unappreciated. You said I'm acting like a fool. uncalled for remark !!!!
I've bent over backwards to try to help and make people aware of the accomplishments made by wolf stalker.

Everybody knows who and where to go to keep their cars on the road . As soon as Toolman lets me know who these companies are we will have several more choices.
Sounds Amazing !!

This is what I received from MDP today. I’m confused as what he means as correct to my vehicle? Is he meaning that it’s not from another car? I explained to him in an email that it’s never been programmed to any car.

I once bought a mercedes key (from another car) that had the correct part number and RFID (55) with assurance it could be programmed to work with my car. The dealership could not do it .. I hope these folk can.
So to answer you, the correct key (fob) for your vehicle will have a part number and RFID number exactly the same as the OEM that came with your car. There are many of them out there.

I have to be very careful how I word this. To my personal knowledge,,,,,MDP as in Bryan ,,, is the only company in North America who Can create a transponder key that will allow you to start and operate your car as well as open doors manually with the locks with the possible option of recoding your key fob as stated in his listing. If there are other companies that offer this service please post them here. Let me add that his company can fix and repair your existing skreem and or re program as in clone other auto wrecker Skreems allowing spares for an emergency. It was as I have repeated many times the work of wolfstalker who found this company. Hoping everyone will share with the crossfire communities. I had a wonderful visit with a top hand with West Coast crossfires out of Vancouver and asked him to share this info to all of his members on facebook as well as their own forum.
For those of you who have a running functioning crossfire such as myself,,, please look at things this way. If we have a handful of spare parts in the trunk or glove box our confidence level soars and we will feel comfortable driving these amazing cars absolutely anywhere. The resale of all crossfires would also regain its footing . Its a win win situation for everyone. I didn't get a reply from Toolman as too other options because again to my knowledge ,,,,,,their are none except MDP. Thank you to all the forum members who have emailed . It has been a pleasure to chat with so many amazing people. All the best now and forever.

We have been sitting and looking at the parts MDP got back to us so quickly. Our delay in giving you the results is that the weather has been bad and the car is outside, and I had to wait for a warm up to get the parts reinstalled. It should happen early this week, and you guys will be the first to know whatever the results are. MDP called the shop to see if the parts had arrived and if they were doing the job, nice of them. I'll notify everybody as soon as we get them back in the car. The shop had some very difficult jobs this week with a couple old MBs that required removing the dash pod and replacing some components, and fixing and cleaning up some others, It will get done before Wed, Hopefully Monday. You guys and MDP will be the first to know.

Somebody wrote about the drive train and/or engine being very long lived, and that's true - a lot of SLKs with this engine have made it to 200K, so if these small but expensive electrical problems could be solved to the point where you can feel secure owning and driving them they should be a positive buy. As soon as we know there are alternatives for the Skreem fiasco I will be offering my roadster for sale as I now have three cars and can't keep them all. The Crossfire is fun to drive, corners like a track car with the Contis on it, a relatively inexpensive pocket rocket.

Welcome back Wolfstalker ,,,, I knew you were busy busy with poor weather. You were checking to see if members would be willing to chip in a $50 for the parts you got from MDP. I would like to throw in a $50 as well out of respect for your beyond the call of duty untiring efforts. I too am doing business with Bryan at MBP. My bill there is $650 .00 Plus 30 shipping but I'm getting LOTS of various services done from several keys to two skreems cloned as well as cloning a spare ECM/ECU/PMC. Let me know how to get you the money . You can email me privately with an address or your email to send a money transfer. Its the least I can do . Wish we could actually meet. Supper would be on me. Thank you from myself and everyone in the crossfire community. It doesn't bother me posting my personal email . More than a dozen have contacted me outside the forum and all were positive, powerful people . Loved the chats and learned lots. emery@yourlink.ca

Thanks to Emery and Wolfstalker! Our situation evolved as expected. The local Chrysler dealer ( who have always gone out of their way for us and have a lot of Crossfire customers) thought they could code a Mercedes part for us and ordered it. It didn't work out, and I know they tried as hard as they said they did to figure something out. These are guys who listen to me blab on and on when I go in for tire changes about how much I love my car, and tolerate it when I tell everyone else waiting for service. Then, people ask them if the car is still sold on the lot, and they don't shut me up. I know they would have fixed this if they could have.
Then I took Emery ( from Canada) up on his kind offer for us to call, and we are taking his advice. This is one kind person: honest, informed, paying it forward. Because we live within driving distance of MDP we are going to contact them tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes. I am not auctioning off this less than 30,000 miles beauty and buying a turtle without going down fighting. I bought a hare.

Wolfstalker seems to have announced that the MDP solution works on the wrong or lesser-used forum instead of here.

With MDP getting all the posts and attention right now I'm wondering what happened about SOS. They provide the same services per their website and they have been discussed many times before. Did someone report a problem with their services?

Has anyone tried the special Crossfire limited function key from this ebay seller? This appears to be like the keys MDP sells.

Thank you Toolman for posting the SOS webpage and protecting their interest in keeping crossfire owners on the road as well as allowing us options. You had mentioned in one of your earlier comments to me that there were others as well that could provide these services that MDP can. I asked several times for you to come forward and share with the crossfire forum . I didn't hear anything until now so let me share with you my findings. I'm thrilled for everyone that we now have two proven options. Needless to say the obvious choice for crossfire owners will be location if your physically taking your car to them.
If your closer to S.O.S then your golden. The people that I have corresponded with by email and or telephone are mailing their modules . Because they don't have to concern themselves with distance my recommendations were made solely on monetary . Its not my place to pick one over the other but the prices I was quoted by Bryan the MDP owner were considerably more favorable. Especially if your getting more than one service done. This isn't up for argument !!!! I simply called both, made notes and made my conclusion. No different than any one would do. Exactly like your original crossfire purchase.
Not to say that each person wouldn't get a different price quote. The other confirming decision maker for me was the level of confidence that I felt after ending the calls. Please be reminded that the decision I made had to be in the best interest of not only myself with my purchase but more importantly ,,in the best interest of the people I was helping. Let it hereby be known to all that I have absolutely no affiliation to or with MDP. They are in Florida and I live in the centre of Canada. I have made it very clear to Bryan that I want and expect NOTHING for telling members why I chose MDP. This is only about brotherhood and being united as members of the crossfire forum. My father told me as a young man that credibility and trust are not for sale. They cannot be bought. They are earned with every decision and choice we make. Toolman, graphite and one 80 already know these things as well or better than I do.
As far as the key advertisement that you posted for creating a key that will start and run the car ,,the add says $170.00 I would be happy to provide the crossfire forum members with cheaper alternatives . Yes I have found several . I don't have all my notes by my side at this moment but let me give a quick example so a war doesn't break out. paylesscarkeys .Their add is 149 for one exact same key as the $170 add or two for $199. and they were not he lowest. everyone has my email ,,contact me and I will get you access to my notes. Why have I not posted any of these locksmiths that can create keys. Exactly that,,,,,,thats all they can do is cut keys. They don't fix skreems or ECU modules ,They just cut keys and we are a thousand miles farther down the road than just keys.

Congratulations Wolfstalker . I heard from MDP this morning that everything worked perfect and your car fired right up. Words cannot describe people like you. you found the fix and you never faultered. I wish I could meet you ,,,,what a monumental moment that would be !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In conversation the other day ,, Bryan laughed and said,,,,,, Everything I can do is proven down here . We just needed to create proof for rest of the crossfire community and Wolfstalker made that happen.

I didn't post this originally.
Another crossfire member posted the reply they received from MDP,,, This is the price they were quoted ,,,,,,not me !
I reposted it again for those of you who are only interested in a key .
Toolman must have missed this or he wouldn't have posted the key add from an unknown, unproven ebay seller for 170 plus another 10 for shipping .

I have read about SOS, in the past, but have never seen a posting from someone that has used them. In wolfstalkers credit he has actually let everyone know MDP was successful. I would love to hear from someone that had had success with SOS on their screem or key replacement.
