ECU Mod Poll
I know there are a bunch of posts about this, but I want to know who thinks what about the Upsolute chip 'vs' the Powerchip 93 for the crossfire. Please let me know any opinions/problems/results...
Both claim 215->236hp and 229->251tq
Upsolute - $425 installed.
Pros: Reasonable price, 2 hour turn-around, Rene verified that it's optimized for 93 octane, have yet to really see someone with a problem, have been very responsive to my emails/questions, based in Austria and have lots of experience tuning MB.
Cons: Installed by someone as a side job, have not seen verified results from a dyno.
Powerchip 93 - $695.
Pros: Seem to be a decent company from their brochure, also optimized for 93 octane, received a dyno sheet showing true gains on the crossfire for the 91 chip.
Cons: Price is higher, have to mail my ECU to them and get it sent back, have not been as responsive.
....and go.

Both the same, only PC charges more! I recommend the Upsolute PC guys here, in So Cal are a-holes! Pm me for more info if needed. Or try, Eurorev Jesse there knows how to do it right to only $250 with forum discount!

The only true dyno's I remember seeing are from PowerChip & RENNtech.
I don't know about the "PowerChip" but I have the Upsolute Chip and I don't need a Dyno to tell me its worth the price. Powerchip might be better, but I bought it. "true Dyno" don't bet on it.

You may or may not have increased HP with the Upsolute Chip. I am not taking a stance that it either works or does not work. I just have not seen anything backing up the claims. I know people that swore up and down the car gained power with an Exhaust or ECU. When finally put on the dyno, there were shown no gain or even a loss.
Since the subjects are on chips, I wish to purchase one too but I am seeking advice from those that already have them. From everything I read, I can see many went with upsolute and I looked at their site and could not find info on chrysler crossfire results or info on it. i read alittle on the powerchip and it seems to be pretty impressive. I just want to know if anyone have advice for me on how to go about getting a chip living in East coast of United States (South New Jersey). I just hope for something close, that I can run to test and tune, if any problems occur or if it is just simple as exchanging Chips. I am willing to do that also, I just need alittle boost of words of wisdom from those that had their aftermarket chips.
Thank you all.
Thank you all.
I have Upsolute and after chipping I can feel some increase in torque even in the high speed pass 70 mph. The mistake I probably made is when I changed my muffler to magnaflow after chipping. It's hard to know the difference now except that I feel that my low end torque is 1 second delayed in auto.
For an aggressive acceleration I prefer to use the autostick for more kicks!

A few reasons I haven't gotten this upgrade are as follows no of which are price or not wanting a faster car.
A: the car is my daily driver I don't have time to send out the ecu to get tuned and then get sent back (not sure if the car was your daily driver most will have the same issue)
B: I live in California so an ECU tune without the ability to have a stock ECU to switch out at smog time doesn't make a lot of sense.
C: If proboblems arise with the ECU, it's my only one I'd be fooked!
D: California Gas in most areas is 91 Octane.
Mopar Performance made Computers to swap out with the stock one which was sooooo easy to upgrade with all there cars except these for obvious reasons it's a shame. Until they find an easier way to do these without having to ship your ecu some of us will have to skip that upgrade not by choice.
