I know nothing about scanners, but after we installed the SKREEM module that MDP repaired and changed the car from a non-running liability into a "runs like new" Crossfire one of the guys that knows about these things plugged in the laptop-like scanner that they use on MB and other cars it worked and showed no codes - so all fixed. The scanner plugged in - after all the car is an SLK so the MB connection worked - and it rotated through all the checks and showed no codes. So.... the MB dealers who have the same equipment could have done this, but of course, wouldn't because the cars have Chrysler VIN numbers. It seems to me that MB is the real culprit here - they refuse to help fix cars that operate on systems they designed, built, and sold through Chrysler.

All I can say is there must be some scanner out there that you can buy and that works. When I was trying to get help from Chrysler dealers I contacted or visited six or eight dealers - none of which had the equipment to access the Crossfires - at least that's what they told me. The scanner in the shop tat works is relatively new and costs about $11,ooo I was told. The Chrysler dealers said they need the old OBDII - I (Ihink that's right - and it also needed a pigtail to connect and a "Crossfire card" to access the car's system. This may all be BS - they seem not to want to even look at these cars. All I can say is that MDP's repair seems to be the answer. I just started the car again and it shows no codes, faults or problems.

thank you for your comments. what i would like to get is the manual for the scanner that i have. the scanner seems what is needed, and the video helps a lot.
my idea of getting the manual specific for it is that a manual similar to the 1 i got (for the V version) is all that i need. it explains so well that there are no doubts. step by step, showing what you see on the screen.
hopefully some1 will bring the link.
thanks again you all for the effort to help.

Bought a Foxwell NT630 Elite to reset the airbag and it doesn't appear to work on a Crossfire. I get configuration error. However, I'm not totally sure it's not the car, a dealer completed the airbag recall with the light on and it was still on when I picked it up. I asked the service manager how they confirmed the service was completed satisfactorily and he said it checked good, which I think was BS.

The Launch CRP123 has proven the ability to reset the Crossfire airbag light.
