Default Stalls when wide open at end of first gear

I bought an SRT-6 that the prior owner had replaced the supercharger pulley on. I found that this pulley had a crack in it, so I bought and installed my own replacement pulley. The one that I put on was a Eurocharged 62mm. When I am driving the car normally, or even a little aggressively, it runs through the gears as you would expect. When I do a standing start with the accelerator to the floor, it gets almost to the end of first gear, stalls briefly, shifts to second, then runs through the rest of the gears with no issue. If I turn off the electronic stability program (ESP) and do the accelerator to the floor standing start, it will run through all the gears without stalling. Of course it smokes the tires without the ESP, so I would like to be able to launch with the ESP turned on as well. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Get rid of the 62mm pulley, they blow-up and cause damage $$$$$. Is it steel or aluminum? I do not think they make it anymore. That pulley needs fuel mods to save damaging the engine if it is not already done.
I do know too much about it only what I have said.

onehundred80, thanks for your take on it; some like it stock. I decided to do a bunch of performance mods to this one since it's a toy and I'm curious to see what can be done. I'm working on getting the ECU and TU tuned and plan on some fuel system upgrades as well.

Keep the ESP off; simply learn how to launch w/o smoking the tires. Getting caught trying to launch, and the ESP kicks in and shuts you down, is embarrassing. Learning not to smoke the tires is easier said than done with fully modified SRT6's; takes practice. Even seasoned drag racers sometimes give it a little too much power, and lose traction. Just remember how expensive our premium quality tires are (especially 285's). That worked for me anyway.

That helps knowing that the car is functioning as it should.

It's possible that your loosing traction at the top of first causing intervention from the traction control and an early shift. Mine will start spinning at the top of second as well. Or, your going stupid lean at high rpm's and the cars self protection tuning is saving your engine, apparently to your dismay. A 62mm pulley puts your engine in extreme danger (imo) without at least a tune for said pulley.

Thanks for your comments! Based on that and talking with some other folks, I am going to get a tune ASAP. Probably need to look at the fuel pump soon as well. Thanks again!

could be that it just reaches the rpms where it is programmed to do exactly that, as a mean of protecting the engine to reach the rpms that damage the engine?
when on 1st, there are more chances to reach those rpms. the manual tells so.
perhaps if you keep an eye on the tach you may notice this.
just a thought...

You are running out of fuel and running lien. Do your tune and upgrade to a 55 pump...
