New Keys from Needswings
Re: New Keys from Needswings
So can we gather that the following is true?
SOS offers keys at $260 for the first key and $150 for the second.
NeedsWings offers keys at $324 for the first key and $300 for the second.
Chrysler offers keys at from ? down to $400 each.

Re: New Keys from Needswings
Good Afternoon Onehundred80,
I know your post is about 1 1/2 years old so....my questions is- Is SOS still duplicating keys for our cars and if yes where may I contact them?
I was quoted $600- for a key less a professional discount bringing 1 key to $520-
The car was traded in with only 1 key.
Thanks,
MsKittyNJ

It's not just a matter of having a new key cut. You also have to have the electronic board inside the FOB as well as the tiny little black chip that sits behind the red plastic window on the FOB. It then has to be programed to your car. My "suggestion" is just pay the price and don't go out to eat for the next month and cook meals at home. Everything about the Crossfire / Mercedes is expensive. If you loose or misplace the "only" key you have, and I say this politely, your "screwed" and not going anywhere unless it's on the back of a tow truck.
Re: New Keys from Needswings
Hi Romad, right now the car is parked in our MB prep center. Hood up with the PDM loose and some other items waiting for the car to "NO START" so the techs can
get a reading. So far it has started every time they have tried it. The did have a no start situation while the car was outside in a snow storm and they pushed it
into the prep center. After is sat awhile in the prep center don't you know it started right up, no problem! Any way have been reading up on the RCM no start issue
due to trouble with the connections on the board for the starter. The techs don't want me to take the car until they have found the trouble so with their knowledge and all the great info and knowledge of this cars eccentricities I feel we should have the "mystery no start" solved in a week or so. I am very blessed as the MB dealer
I work for has given me an old demo to use till the car is road worthy. As to the keys no problem with the term used. Like everyone I am sure, when possible, we all
don't want to pay more than we have to but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. It makes it hard knowing I only paid $140.00 for my 07 crossfire's key just a few years ago. Have great one and thanks!
