Jumped on this thread, because all of a sudden my 2007 Coupe Limited failed to crank the other day and cooling fan seemed to over rev.
Various light including check engine were on, spoiler would'n't retract, radio didn't hv power... decided to take it in to dealer to get a code readout.
Went to start it to take it in, car started then stalled and would not crank thereafter,
Windows, lights, wipers, fob all sem to work normally. What happened ?
Also found out local Chrysler dealer says doesn't have equipment to read code on these cars and suggested taking it to a Mercedes dealer.
Weclome any further thoughts.

MAXFI
Sounds like you may have a bad engine control relay in the relay control module (RCM).

I refurbish RCMs. Email me at tighed1@hotmail.com for the info.

Help....just went for a long ride, car ran beautifully. Stopped on the way home. got back in the car it.....started then stalled. started then stalled, now it will not even crank over. How can i get it home ? I tried looking for threads for a fix, but navigating this website is difficult for me. no luck yet. Could i disconnect the battery for a reset ? it is 12/9 21 at 2:39 p , I left the car in a parking lot.. any help would be appreciated. If I need a new RCM ??? are there recommended mechanics in the NY metro Area. My car is an 2007 limited roadster with 30,000 miles and lives in a heated garage. HELP me get it home please. Trying to avoid a tow truck to the stealership

Well one thing is clear you will not be fixing it in the parking lot ....if you will be attempting a fix get it towed home ... as a starting point...remove the rcm and check the solder joints this might be as simple as reflowing the joints.....look this up on this forum lots of info as to what to look for and what to do ...please ...l repeat dont tow it to a dealer unless you got money to burn ..... also start with the basics.....grounds ...... good battery etc ...lots of info here on line ....up date your post ...

Avoid a dealership at all costs. If you must go to a mechanic take it to an independent repair shop that works on Mercedes. Dealers know nothing about these cars.

Start, stall, 2 or 3 times then nothing points to a possible SKREEM problem. Disconnect the battery for a few then reconnect. Try to start again. Did you get the same results as before?

Second that of possibly the SKREEM issue. Try what tighed1 said to try and come back in to further your assistance. Good luck!

My car is doing the same thing I had the PCM rebuild with the skreemalator delete it started one time then now it does not do anything. Will not start the fan spins fast then to a slow speed the spoiler came up I checked all fuses are ok I checked the rcm Not sure what can be the problem I love my Crossfire but wonder if I should get rid of it its becoming a money pit. I love Little RED. I will continue to tinker with it now that it is to cold and I do not have a warm place to work on it, it may have to wait until Spring. I have a trickle charger on the battery and it has a full charge and the battery is only 6 months old. I wish I could afford to gut the car and make it all electric LOLOLOL..

Even though you checked it, it still sounds like the RCM. It can be the solder joints or the relays going bad. For 50 buck or so, send it to DJ for a rebuild.
