Injectors
You have the parts so see who made them and find the part number on them and then find them somewhere as they were not specifically made for the Crossfire.

GermanAutoSupply.com has them, new, for $60USD each.

What CAN it be but residue from fuel that was not of the quality you wanted it to be?
ALL that goes thru the injector is gasoline, or what ever is in the gas tank.
I'd be taking a close look at the other injectors.
Yes thats what I thought, NZ now imports it's fuel from various places around the world, our refinery has just closed down so could be an issue- the other injectors are OK
If it ison the injectors then it presumably passed through the filter, so replace the filter as it may have some inside it.
Pull all the fuel injectors and have them cleaned. I'm sure you have places that do this kind of work. If 2 are gunked up all the rest are too, just not as bad.
Mine were cleaned, checked and balanced by Marren Fuel Injectors. They came back with new O rings and flow numbers from before the service and after. It's gotten a bit expensive over the years but still cheaper than new ones.

Update on Injectors
Have found a place in Auckland who can refurnish the injectors, for those Kiwis here the contact details are InjectorTech- ph 09 442 2187
I do however have one question, when we pulled the injectors out, the part number is 0-280-156-014, I went online to AutoDoc ( A UK company) and was advised for the VIN code of my car the OEM part number should be 5101-526-AA
Can any one advise has come accross this??
Cheers

I cannot EVER see using a Chrysler part number for MOST parts for the car. ONLY USE A CHRYSLER PART NUMBER FOR POSSIBLE CROSS-REFERENCES FOR A BENZ PART NUMBER! Once you get burned for quite a large fee for a Chrysler part number (only, and if, you can FIND a Chrysler part number part anywhere), you'll realize the BENZ part number is much less expensive for the same part in a Benz box (you might see the Benz part number on the 'Chrysler' part itself, not on the Chrysler box). Ronman is right on sourcing only Benz on MOST of the XF parts!

The "0280156014" is the Bosch part number.
The NA injectors are Dark Blue, have 4 nozzles and are rated 17lb/hr (179cc/min) @ 43.5 psi (3 Bar). They are 14.5 Ohm and have an EV1 connector. Mercedes used these injectors on 3.2L and 2.6L M112 engines.
The Mercedes part no is: A112 078 01 49
Chrysler no: 5101526AA

Afternoon all from New Zealand,
A quick update on my injectors (have had to reregister as the site would not let me log in with a new password), so have had the injectors all cleaned, new rubbers etc and ready to go, am advised that petrol station holding tanks is most likely the problem, we might have picked up the dregs from the bottom of a tank that was low, no way to prove it. So costs were NZ$30 an injector which is about $46 US or $59 UK Pds. thanks for the help

yes that's the next step, new fuel filter along with another inline one, and drain the gas tank and mix with new gas for the mowing the lawn.
