Default ThinkCar ThinkScan SD6 Scanner 6 system and OBD2 . . .

I have been using for a long time an Launch Creader VI+ as an OBD2 Scanner with verry good result . This little scanner was bought when I only had to check on my 2001 Chevrolet Blazer LS 2 doors 4X4 and later , on my Wife's car . . . an 2012 Nissan Juke SL AWD with intelligent key. The Launch VI+ has the JOBD protocol on board for Japanese car. The Crossfire was bought on the end of 2012. Connecting on it is by the VIN only , so verry limited result but with verry well explained informations on all the codes I had to diagnose since i got the XF.

I read, and also learnded a lot, on the Forum, on sugestion for a low cost option scanner and almost bought an Autel DIY version from Wlmart Canada but it had verry bad reviews ( probably a cnse mockoff )

While expanding my researh on the net, the Thinkcar link came often . . . THINKCAR® Global | Leading Tech In Diagnostics and after contacted them for dealer inquiry in Canada, they told me that Kingbolen was an aproved authorized dealer. I wanted to be sure not to get an cnse mockoff . . . KINGBOLEN-OBD2 Scanner, Code Reader and Diagnostic Tool (kingbolentool.com)

My choice went on the ThinkCar ThinkScan SD6 because for the price, it has the capability of many OBD2 Protocols, covers many models and brand, it has an 6 system scanning capability with 5 free reset that you can choose out from many and the option to scan by VIN and also by manually selecting the brand and model of the car . . . ThinkCar® Official Site | Bring the car closer to you (mythinkcar.com)

Ordered mine on May 7 and 20 days later, i had it in my hand. Up to now ,i use it on 4 differents brand of car with verry good result but i still have to learn much more on it. Couple of days ago i have scanned the XF under by VIN and also under Mercedes R170 SLK 320 and registred full report on all the faults stored in differents system and yesterday, before taking the XF for an afternoon ride, i cleared all those codes whithout any problems. The only downside is, to be able to have a verry detailed explanation on the one code in particular, you have to have acesibillity to WiFi while using it. It have an build in section with limited amount of information that you can access any time on any code explanation.

For the price invested ( under 250 $ CAD ) in this Scanner, that fit in the right pocket under the carpet of the trunk, i am verry impressed of is capability. I now, need to choose my 5 free reset among the 28 maintenance reset functions . . . 228 maintenance reset functions28 main28 maintenance reset functionstenance reset functions8 maintenance reset functions
28 maintenance reset functions

This is a result of a scan I did right after I recently got, once again, a " slow respond of the throttle to the gas pedal " after putting the pedal to the floor . . my XF is having this problem on very rare occasion since many Years, and it has not ever triggered the check engine light to on. My Launch Creader VI+ OBD2 reader was never able to see it . . .

I would change the gas pedal assembly, but that is just me.

What exactly is the car doing? When you state slow response does it eventually respond without letting off pedal? What does the tach do during this issue. Does this happen under normal or hard acceleration?

Sorry missed the to the floor part. I was having a similar issue. This would only happen when engine warm and semi hard acceleration. The car would accelerate very slowly but the tach would respond as if normal acceleration was happening.
It never triggered a code. Since I was changing the trans fluid I took a chance and changed the trans conductor plate. Solved 90% of my problem. I believe the speed sensor on the plate was acting up occasionally. The other 10% was the intercooler pump starting to go (only applies to SRT6).

I will try to change only the Accelerator Pedal Sensor . . . If possible.
