Here's the best list I could put together to upgrade our standard Crossfire to the specs of the SRT6. I'm still not clear if the ECU needs to be changed as well. I'll find that out ASAP. The braking system is also included, as well as the different cam shaft gear. Not sure if the cam shaft is different, another thing to check, but would explain the lower compression ratio. The prices are a bit confusing, the first price is the dealer price, the second is an online vendor I found. The total is at the bottom... It looks like a hell of alot better price than the $12,000 I was quoted by Kleeman, but this looks like it would be a hella do-it-yourself project !!! The parts schematics are in my gallery... I haven't seen anyone on the forum who can really answer the question if this modification is actually feasible without a nightmare of problems, so if any of the factory people would like to chime-in it would be appreciated.

You forgot the rear-end ratio is also different! That would be another $k at least. Times 2.5 for labor and warranty and profit = $10,000+ minimum by a Benz shop.

 

No I didn't forget that the rear end is different. I have a 6 spd manual and have made arrangements to have a 3.85:1 pumpkin installed. Thanks for the addition for those who don't know. If you wanted to really get into it, you'll have to change the front sway bar as well. But I figured most people who are pursuing this type of upgrade will have a performance suspension...

 

hey hddp, where did you get those prices from, they seem to look cheaper than the mopar prices with the supercharger being $1,585.

 

NOW!!! That's what I'm talking about...Kudos, now if we can get 1 "test car". One question, what's the difference in the rear-end Ratios between the two cars (SRT/Limited)?

are these from my mopar link? or a different page? also here is a link to a thread i started, it has a list of all the parts in the kleeman kit for the slk320 supercharger. so basically, i'm thinking these are the parts you need to make a "kit" for the crossfire and requirements.
