Spoiler Button/Light Question
so when i bought the car the spoiler button never worked, the person i bought it off said he unplugged it so i plugged it back in but still nothing, so i understand that when you lock the car the tow away button light flashes to show that the alarm is activated, BUT when i lock the car its the spoiler up/down button that flashes, and not tow away, am i right in thinking that when someone "tried" to fix the spoiler they accidentally swapped round the wiring and put them in the wrong switches? or am i just an idiot haha anyway any advice or knowledge would be great, thanks Edit:ive checked fuse for spoiler and all seems okay, could be the motor but not sure how to diagnose that

The setup in that switch deck is such that I doubt anyone altered it. The paths are not wires but circuit board paths.
Also, if you want help with the spoiler operation, you must tell us more that "nothing". Is it up or down? Do you get any beeping from the dash at any speed?
Is the BAS or other light on?
Moved to appropriate forum and changed title as well. Titles are used in searches and meaningless titles don't help.

the spoiler is stuck up and the car beeps when going over 90mph
This would lead me to want to verify the function of the wing travel limit switches, particularly the upper limit switch.
You can verify what the switches are telling the BCM at BCM connector C4, pin 28 (upper limit) and pin 29 (lower limit). At all times, one pin should be low (under .2volts) and one should be high (I'd need to check, "high" is either over 5 or over 10 volts). If the limit switches read correctly, I'd suspect the BCM itself.
But I also know that a bad wheel speed sensor will cause the wing act nutty - mostly, the way it manifests, is if you put it down, it pops right back up.
If you use the switch and it wont go down, does it then beep? If so, the BCM is telling you it cant perform the action - usually due to a wheel speed sensor's bad or missing data, but it can also be that the trunk 'closed" sensor is not indicating closed or the (Roadsters only) top controller thinks the top is not fully up or fully down.
