I KNOW this has been asked a million times and someone will likely yell at me but…
Everybody take a deep breath, I think we can assume the OP can read a VOM and understands circuitry with his background. He has stated twice now that there is voltage to the pump motor while depressing the top switch. Now what?

Thank you JSK. Yes please. Anyone have any “now what”, thoughts? I can accept it’s the motor. I’m having that professionally checked on Monday by a shop with those capabilities. Pizzaguy mentioned it HAD to also be something else. I’m simply trying to understand that if the motor is receiving power, but exhibiting ZERO signs of life (when the button is pressed in either direction), when every other component seems to be working as designed, HOW it is CERTAIN that something else is bad or broken. I may not be using the direct terminology but I’m testing to differentiate between ( broken, bad, “destroyed”) and (wrong, off beat, not in sync).
To me…one needs absolute and utter replacement. The other May require a “procedure”, after said replacement, to re-align the proper process of “up-down”.
Hopefully, I’m being clear. If not, please don’t hesitate to ask further questions. I’m capable to a certain degree, or tearing and answering.
thank you again for all those providing assistance and guidance

Thank you to everyone who posted ideas and sent private messages. With some EXCELLENT advice and steering and guidance to VALIDATE my newbie conclusion…it turned out the issue (the only issue), was a COMPLETELY DEAD convertible top pump motor. It was what deductive reasoning led me to BELIEVE from pretty much the beginning (thanks to excellent assistance from a number of you walking me through a process. Ie…”if it’s doing this…can’t be this”. “If it’s doing that…must be that.”
i appreciate the patience and multiple explanations ( in multiple ways), so that I wasn’t just TOLD, but explained as to why.
Anyway $266 for a new OEM motor and another 2 bills for installation and my wife and I are topless again. Just in time for the “hundreds” temperatures coming this weekend. Thank god for really early morning drives.
i hope everyone who buys one of these beautiful machines, finds this forum to be as helpful as I did.
I’ve only seen 3 in all of Phoenix in my two years, and two were coupes, not roadsters. However, if there are others in this area, feel free to say hi.
thanks again for all the help to EVERYONE.

My pleasure. Doesn’t EVERYONE do that? Sometimes, I swear, manners and polite society have vanished. George Carlin was right on SOOOOOOO many things. Lol. Have a great day
I’m in Mesa and have three Crossfires, two of them are roadsters. Do not know what part of the valley you are in but a nice run this time of year from the east valley is to Tortilla Flats by Canyon Lake for breakfast.
Excellent. 3 eh? Very nice. My wife lets me collect range rovers, been doing that since the 90’s. If I started to try and collect these too….I think I’d be in deep doodoo. Lol.
we are in the Biltmore area
thank you for reaching out. I think we just may have to take that ride.

I have the exact same issue. Where did you find the motor?
