Default Instruments and gauges working intermittently after being wet

My 07 crossfire convertibleinstruments and gauges became moderately wet when hurricane Ian blew out the rear window and driving rain came into the interior from Hurricane Ian. It was fresh water and not really a lot, but even after 6 months the dash instruments and gauges work intermittently. The top will also not drop, but the windows go down properly. I assume that is a trunk relay problem and not really associated with the instruments. Any advice ?

I think you have water damage in multiple places. Water that gets it thru the back window usually manages to creep down into the wells below the trunk and flood the Central Locking Pump and Security Module (CLP/SSM). This will cause the top to refuse to move. The fix is replacing the CLP/SSM and the last few feet of it's wiring harness with parts from a donor car.

Tear the trim from the trunk, get down under the floor of the trunk and on the passenger side, get the CLP/SSM out of it's yellow insulation blanket, disconnect all the wiring plugs, and inspect plug and connectors for corrosion. If you find any, the only fix is to get a new CLP/SSM and partial wiring harness.

As to the instruments, that COULD be caused by the CLP/SSM being damaged and messing up the CAN BUS. I cant see water getting into the cluster, seems unlikely. I'd go after the CLP/SSM first.
All CLP/SSMs are the same: Coupe/Roadster/SRT/NA/Base. But I'd want the wiring harness from a Roadster, cause there is one extra wire in the Roadster harness that is not present in some or all coupe harnesses.
