Default data link connector Pin 5 wire routing

I am looking at the wiring diagram in the service manual and on page 710 or section 8E-8 for data link connector 5 I am not finding connector c227 which should be a blue connector left of the steering column behind the instrument panel. Anybody know the routing of Pin 5 to connector C4 for the Powertrain control module. I have no continuity, but can't trace to the connector. I have no continuity at either the PCM , C219, or at the fuel sensor connector which leads me to C227. circuit in question from manual below.

I think the diagram on page 8W-30-7 of hte 2007 service manual or page 8W-30-9 of the 2005 service manual is easier to read.

That is a ground pin. The ground is provided inside the ECU/Powertrain Control Module. The ground is provided to the fuel tank pressure sensor and the data link connector.

It is POSSIBLE there is only a ground when the ECU/PCM is powered up, but I sure cant say for sure. You have your path marked wrong, your car is an "except export" version.

Thanks,
figured out the POS wired the ground pin from the coolant sensor to pin 5 and pin5 ground pin to the AC pressure switch ground and the coolant ground to the AC pressure switch, or something like that. They are all brown with yellow so I can kind of understand, but one wire at a time and test wouldn't be that bad would it?

I now have continuity from pin 5 to C4 at the ECU/PCM and continuity with other pins for ECU and AC pressure switch and coolant switch. Wonder if a bunch of lights will go out on the dash now
Have to wait on some more wire loom tape as I had to take everything apart and ran out just before I got it done of course.

Weird in the except export as the manual I have lists the connector colors wrong then???? Will have to go search for those other year model manuals.
