Default engine shut down

Ok my friends, need some love here...I have a 2005 SRT roadster and have done a pulley and computer mods months ago. Last night I had jumped on it (accelerated)to the extent of smoked the tires. When I let off it felt like it might be going into limp mode. Not positive but I think it might have been stuck in second gear. All of this occurred as I began to enter a busy freeway. I pulled to the shoulder and put in into neutral and I died. II stopped, put it into park. I attempted to start it and it would turn over and acted like my fairly new battery was dead. I Was towed home, threw the charger on the battery and this morning tried to start it.. It will turn over without hesitation but will not start. Thoughts??

There are two potential issues that could cause a "limp mode" scenario, one being the auxiliary water pump that is associated with the cooling of the supercharger, when the engine is running. The original Bosch pumps (ending in 03) failed numerous times in the past, beginning in 2005/06. Bosch redesigned the new pump (ending in 10) and they rarely fail.

The other potential issue is the RCM that may have failed. I doubt if the upgrades created this issue with your SRT6.
By using the SEARCH button at the top of the front page and inputting RCM or Auxiliary water pump, there will be numerous threads discussing this matter.
What were the temps, when you encountered this issue?
Good Luck...

Thank for your response. The limp mode issue I am all too familiar with but I could not confirm that as it just died. I did however replace the ext water pump about 18 months ago. The rcm was worked on by Josh at Christmas I just don't believe that was it.. The temp was unknown. What should I trouble shoot from here?

Disconnect the battery for a minute then reconnect; Read & clear all codes with a scan tool.
Change the CPS ( Crankshaft Position Sensor) using only a Bosch replacement and try to start your car.
If car does not start, relax key to on position for 45 seconds and see if the radiator fan will warp up to high speed.

Did you by chance recently replace the spark plugs?
I had a similar thing happen and it turned out my (former) shop put in the wrong plugs when they did a tune up. Took me 6 months and trying a bunch of other parts to figure that out.
