Anyone know a fix for the hood strut ? it works ok but recently I can't raise it to the 90 degree position . I push the button in but it still won't go up to the maximum position. Any help appreciated . Also if I buy the Stabilus hood strut will I have to take parts off of he old one to get it to raise all the way ?

 

Replaced mine with a rock auto one. Works fine

 

Isn't there a little blue pill for that? Or maybe you’re too short.😉

Just replaced mine in July 2023.
The Stabilus is exactly the same part as was on my 2005 Limited.
Both upper and lower buttons are there and work. No other parts needed.
Got mine at Wismer Auto Parts in Woodstock Ontario Canada.
They are part of the Bumper to Bumper chain. Not sure if in USA.
$44.95 plus tax (Canadian $)
