Default OBD port connection

Morning and Happy New Year to all! I have a 2008 coupe and am in process of acquiring a 2005 SRT6, I am looking for a good bidirectional scanner and am pretty set on the Youcanic after a bunch of research and communication w the company. My question is does the 2005 SRT6 require the 38pin obd connector?. I'm guessing the 2008 does not as I have not been able to find any connector on that car other than the standard OBDII connector. The SRT6 should be delivered early next week so I can't look at it yet, youcanic said the SRT6 may require the 38pin adapter, so does anyone know for sure if I need this adapter?

Pretty sure you DO NOT NEED their added adapter but someone with an SRT-6 should chime in. Have fun with your SRT-6!

Good luck with the scanner. Truth be told, this is the first time I ever heard of this scanner you referenced. Many will tell you something will work to make a sale so make sure you confirm return options if it isn't what the salesman said it was. I have 2 CRP-123's (older one and the newer CRP-123e) that cannot read my airbag (SRS) module, but cannot yet connect to anyone who has one that works that can verify the two I purchased were bad or not. Good luck!

I found the Youcanic when browsing Mercedes forums, seemed to be a positive response to it, the company also responds quickly to inquiries and I've sent many lol! Good thing is it has a 30day return if it doesn't work so I'm gonna give it a shot, if it works out ill let the forum know.

I read codes from anSRT6 at the Dragon with my Bosch 1100. Same as my SE or my Ford Ranger.
The 2005 SRT service manual covers the Base, Limited and SRT - the same connector is specified for all models.
