I don't know if this is the right thread, but what are peoples thoughts about greasing the hydraulics on the convertible top on the crossfire.

 

Do you mean the the piston rams? The shiny part that goes in and out of the cylinder?
I'm not an expert but, I wouldn't recommend that in my opinion. I'm assuming they are self lubricating. Each time they retract I would think they would get coated in hydraulic fluid. The seal prevents the fluid from coming back out, but there has to be a tiny amount on the arms.
I would think that adding grease could contaminate the hydraulic fluid.
This is just a guess on my part. Hopefully someone with better knowledge of these will provide a better answer.
