Default electrical or Security system problem??

Can anyone help me with what I beleive is a security system problem.
Here is what Happens:
Sometime when driving - it just shuts off and wont start again - at least not for a while.
It cranks over - but no spark?

Sometimes when I go to start my 2005 Crossfire SRT6 - it just cranks and wont fire up?

Has anyone had simlar issues? any recomendations on What I should try to do?
any advice will be appreciated
Thanks,
Greg

Sounds like the action caused when the CPS (Crank Position Sensor) needs to be replaced
Buy only a Bosch CPS and no others as Bosch is the only one that will work
You can purchase this one on Amazon

Amazon Amazon

I have attached a link below to help show you how to replace your CPS

Do you have any codes when it is scanned?

I have not had it scanned yet, I do not have the ability to do that, as I do not have the tool.
Never the less, I just ordered a new CPS. Once installed, Hopefully this will allow me
to drive far enough to get it to my service guy.

Thanks for the recommendation,
Greg

Yes,
Pennsylvania.
I did order that Bosch CPS. Should be Here later this week.
I will Install it - then take car to my Service Guy - to be scanned.

There are tons of readers that will work with these cars, not having one makes you dependent on another person - I'd not put up with that. I like my BOSCH 1100, the "CP123" products are more expensive but even better than what I have.

I"d go buy one today. Also, a bad crank sensor may or MAY NOT set off the CEL - the sensor can fail such that no code is set, mine set a code, but I've heard others say they got no code when the CPS failed.
