Default intermittent ac fan speed

hello fellow crossfire owners

When i first purchased my '04 crossfire the fan speed was regulated by how hot my interior was. Is there an outside air sensor that regulates fan speed when cabin ac is turned on? If yes where is it located to clean or replace? thanks

To my knowledge there is only the manual adjustment. Do you have an owner manual?

The ambient air temperature sensor is located in the lower grille on the driver's side on North American cars.
My 2006 roadster also adjusts for the interior temperature.
Here's a link if you need the part. You can also shop around for a better price;
Air temp sensor

It is behind the driver side lower grill.

I've owned three Roasters over 16 years. I've worked on countless climate control modules (owners send them to me to fix the erratic climate control fan speed issue) - and I can tell you, there is no such sensor.

The outside ambient temp sensor feeds the display in the instrument panel.
The IAT sensor measures ambient intake temperature, this is used by the ECU to tune the engine.
There is a heater core temperature sensor (actually two in one, one for each side).

But there is no function in the Crossfire that automatically sets climate control fan speed. Now, the ECU does regulate the engine fan speed based on coolant temperature and status of the A/C clutch.

pizzaguy is correct and I was wrong. It turned out that my climate control unit was failing. It seemed like it was correcting for the temperature changes. The unit ended up needing to be refurbished.
Also fuse #15 I think, failed and had to be replace. I also rebuilt the duo valve for the heck of it.

pizzaguy rebuilt my climate control unit. Thanks to his help, everything works great now!
The Control Unit refurbish, duo valve rebuild kit and fuse all totaled less than $100.00.
