Unhappy Ignition question

The ignition key will not go into the starting position sometimes.........Ive read that this is a somewhat common issue and that a recall should have been made.
Question is does anyone know of a place in New Jersey that can replace the ignition? I have taken it to MERCEDES Dealer and while their computer can do readout on the system and claim that they can get the parts,I'm not sure if they can actually fix it.
Chrysler dealer near me didnt seem to be interested in doing anything. Anyone in NJ specialize in repairing my car? Thank you everyone.

Chrysler Dealers know nothing about your car and Mercedes doesn't want to deal with them. Your best bet is an Independent shop that works on Mercedes.

This is called the "Sticky Key" problem.
This a list of Crossfire problems and repairs.
Look at "engine electrical" for sticky key.
A lot of us have done it ourselves. I printed out the instructions to help me or to have someone reasonably mechanically competent to help.

Very likely you DONT need another ignition for your car at all.
The best video done by Paul explaining the issue and the solution for the common "Sticky Key Fix"

Where in NJ? I'm near Fairfield. There are a few European shops near me.
I agree with the others and it is most likely the sticky key problem.
Open your driver's door and take the door off of the fuse panel. Usually if someone has done the fix, they will note that it's been done and the date on that door.
If you have yours fixed, please do the same.
