Default Alarm random trigger / interior lights dead

Hi all,
My alarm has been randomly triggering. Sometimes within minutes of setting, sometimes 5-6 hours later.
The siren had the "sick cricket" sound people have mentioned on this forum in relation to leaking siren batteries.
So I replaced the siren with the OEM update sold by Needs Wings.
The random triggering continues.
Now though, I've noticed that after triggering, the interior lights will not come on when anything is opened - door, rear hatch, glove box. The ceiling lights do come on when switched, but not in auto mode.
What do people make of this?
My guess is that resetting the battery will reset the lights, but haven't tried.
Thanks
Mark

Just a thought, check your fuse box in the engine compartment. Find the 10 amp fuse for the alarm and replace it. The interior lights are on the same fuse. Mine was barely touching and my interior light would flicker and eventually went out.
These fuses are almost 20 years old. It's a cheap start to finding the solution. You might want to reset the battery as well.
Good luck!
