Trunk electric lock question
A mouse got in my trunk and chewed the pneumatic line, which I fixed, but my electric trunk lock is not getting any signal, does anyone know how to trace this electric line down,
I am having trouble reading the schematic, and the top won't go down, I guess, because it thinks the trunk is not locked?? ( 2006 Roadster convertible)

sorry i do not know much about the convertible top, but the lock system needs Vav /pressure
to work and there is a storage tank , that makes the lock work when engine is off.
does the fob still work the door locks if yes then maybe recheck the lock/unlock hose.

Thanks, yes everything is fine except the electric lock not getting any juice, which I switched out with a new one, still not working on the car, works off car the when I test it.
have you checked the batt in the fob. look up how to change the batt in the fob,,, a lot of people brake the housing,,, there is a special
way to take it apart.

No, Jim. He is talking about the ELECTRIC lock on the ROadsters. Roadsters have TWO locks on the trunk, the pneumatic lock operated by the pump (which the FOB signal can command) and the electric lock operated by the Power Top Control Module (which is under control of the top module ONLY).

You are having issues with the diagrams, probably, because the names of switches and modules is stupid. (See red text below.)
The Electric Lock on the trunk is operated by the Power Top Control Module (PTCM). There are four wires going from the PTCM to the lock: Motor positive and negative as well as the locked line and the unlocked line. The PTCM MUST see the status change and be a valid "Lock" in order to move the top.
Look in the wiring chapter of the service manual under "Power Top" for the "Trunk Latch Assembly", that is not really the latch that is the electric lock. The ACTUAL latch sensor is separate from this, it reports a fully closed trunk to the CLP/SSM and the CLP/SSM tells the PTCM that the trunk is fully closed, once that happens, the PTCM commands the electric lock to lock, once the lock indication comes back from the electric lock, the top cycle can start.

The intent was to empower people to understand and fix their own top issues. Problem is, everyone expects a quick fix these days and refuses to put forth the effort to learn, so it has proven to be a waste of time where most are concerned. Maybe you will actually read thru it and use it.
