Default drive shaft

2004, I went to replace the center bearing. I have the correct new center bearing. I pulled the rear shaft section out of the car and installed the new bearing with no issues. When I went to put it back in the car the two will not go back together. Is there a special alignment I need to do on the splines? Or am I just missing something.

The best thing would have been to draw a line from the transmission to the differential with chalk before starting. this way you could line everything up when -assembling.
Look at the drive shaft halves wear the splines are. One side should have 2 marks and the other should have 1 mark. The the one mark lines up between the 2 marks.
Here's a link to the posts I did when I replaced mine:

How do you know when the driveshaft carrier bearing needs replacing? Are there any telltale noises etc?

Not matching up the driveshaft parts can result in vibration from being out of balance

first the drive shaft is balanced "0" but there is a I (eye) single i on 1/2 and two II and the single goes between the two,,
there is nothing to show you that you have the line up but again the drive,, each1/2 of the drive shaft is balanced 0
I have used 1/2 from a srt6 and the other 1/2 from a limited. Blow this pic and u can see the notches.

So, before I screw up everything. Where do I get a replacement driveshaft complete? Needswings only has a carbon fiber driveshaft. That is a bit more than I want to spend.

What's wrong with your driveshaft? If your having a hard time putting them together, I would suggest cleaning the splines and then applying long lasting silicon grease to them.
Make sure that the splines or spline receiver on both driveshafts aren't bent or obstructed.
New ones are available. I searched using a 2003 M-B SLK 320 and came up with these:

The cheapest thing to do would be to take them to a driveshaft repair shop. You can have them cleaned balanced and test fitted for a third of the price of a new one.
Post some pics of what's going on with yours so we can better understand what trouble you're having.

Did you email them? They might show it, but I would check with them.
