Default No fire after changing fuel pump and filter

Hey All,
I'm new to the forum, and the reason is I'm having issues with my 2005 Crossfire. So I realized my fuel pump was leaking slightly and I wanted to change it. I ordered a new fuel pump and filter from Needwings...I'm assuming most of you who are here know this company. I cannot say enough great things about Rob there. He has helped me out with several parts and has great insight.

Anyway...all I did was change the fuel pump and filter, nothing else. Went to start back up and no fire. Just cranked and cranked. I can hear the pump kick on so I know it's working...plus I checked and I have fuel to the motor with good pressure. I reached out to Rob at Needwings...his thought was maybe the crank position sensor. So got one of those...replaced it, and no luck, still crank, crank no start.
Anyone have any ideas? It ran fine before I changed out the pump and filter...even with the old leaking pump. And that's all I did to it. I'm totally stumped and its driving me nuts!
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Here are a few things that you can try:
Replace fuse #11 in the engine bay {Ignition Coil} I've had a few fuses go out randomly recently.
Your fuel pump relay in your Relay Control Module may have went bad. Here's a video on how to check it:
Also check the fuses on top of the RCM. Make sure they're not bad.
No matter what I recommend that you send your RCM to @tighed1 to get it refurbished. He does a great job with a fast turnaround and a great price. You should also carry a spare RCM in your trunk as well as a Bosch Crank Position Sensor and a Bosch Camshaft Sensor.
All of these are easy to replace and are normal wear items on the Crossfire and Mercedes-Benz SLK 320 which is what your crossfire really is.
Here's a link to my thread that has a lot of "how to's" in it. Just scroll to the bottom of the page to where the links are: LINK to My journey with my 2006 roadster
Let us know if you need more help or if the problem was fixed.
John

Just a guess here BUT... Did you disconnect the NEG battery cable before you took anything apart? Just curious.
