Default Help .. for the 399th time

I think my biggest fear just happened ..
2006 limited roadster
no codes one evap code !
car started staying in 2nd gear , accelerating without movement .. at times feel like I get pushed here and there ..
the car will not do over 10 and sounds like a very loud whine under the hood

if I blew the trans can someone clarify before I drop another in

once again no codes ..

I doubt you blew up the trans. You could be very low on fluid, a bad conductor plate or linkage problem.
I would start by checking the fluid level. There's a bunch of how to's in the search.

start by checking the fluid level, you will need a dipstick tool as the car does not come with one

As Rob says, need to check the fluid. The transmission has a mechanical linkage for reverse, neutral, and drive. The transmission uses a computer to switch gears. It takes information from the transmission to know the positions of the various valves and solenoids inside the transmission. The computer for the transmission sits inside a compartment under the glove box. It will not switch gears in drive if you have a bad conductor plate. The conductor plate is the wiring harness that connects the transmission internal sensors and solenoids.

I have a very expensive lesson in transmissions covered in this thread. It should help you. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...sion-nova.html

Also you are not going to get a code from the transmission. If you have a good scanner that can talk to the transmission computer, what you can see is the position of the gear shift lever (ask) and the position of the mechanical position in the transmission.
