Hi all! As a new owner I'm curious to know why I can't remotely lock my car. It was suggested to change out the battery in the fob which I have done, but the car still won't lock. The lights go on when I press the lock on the fob but the car just doesn't lock. Any suggestions?

 

Hi, changing the batteries may have caused your key fob to go out of sync.
Make sure the the infra-red light is being emitted from the fob. Go into a dark room and push the button. See if you have a light coming out of the front of the fob.
If you do, then you can try to re-sync the key fob to the car.

Hey, I have the exact same issue. Recently picked up a Crossfire. My keyfob has the same problem. I replaced the batteries, have tried to re-sync and still no luck! The switch inside the car locks the doors okay, but otherwise I seem to be out of luck!

 

It may be the locking pump in the bottom of the trunk got water in it. Which Crossfire model do you have and where are you located?

 

Hmm, that could make sense? I can't lock the boot at all, just manually lock the doors. I'm based in the UK, the model is a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire 3.2 V6

 

When you open the door do the interior lights come on? If not replace fuse #9 in the under hood fuse box. the Central Locking Pump and the overhead lights are on the same circuit.
