Default A/C Question

As soon as I turn on the A/C it blows out a strange odor that reminds me of Elmer's glue. It goes away within 30 sec or so. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what was done about it?

Thanks.

Try mouthwash!!!

all ac vents get some moisture and that's can be treated with just spraying air freshener in it.

this happens in my wife's X5. if you turn off the recirculating a/c button and leave it off... the smell will go away in a short period of time (about a week).

if you must run the rec. air...turn it off 10 minutes prior to turning off the car. this will allow the extra moisture to evaporate out of the system.

the added moisture in the system creates the odor.

Thanks, I'll give it a try but I never had this happen on any other vehicle in any climate, dry or moist.
