Mystery why it won't restart
My Crossfire has been sitting in the garage for some time, I keep the battery on a float monitor so it is fully charged. Today I decided to do an oil change even though it hasn't had much mileage since the last one, just too much time. Started the car, ran it around the neighborhood, parked in driveway to let it reach normal temp, then shut it off. Got all my stuff ready, put raised pads in front of front wheels to drive up so I could get under and when I tried to restart the car it just cranked but would not start. Tried a couple times, no results. All idiot light perform as normal. Can hear fuel pump engage. Cranks vigorously, but will not start. Disconnected battery, let it sit for a while, reconnected and still no start. Anyone have any ideas? I have two RCMs, one new and one rebuilt with the "so horny" mod, both worked fine before this happened, makes no difference which one is in now, still won't start. Anyone have any ideas why it would decide not to start after just running fine? I'm developing a love/hate relationship with this vehicle. Think its time to get a different toy!

Also replace the fuse #11 in the engine fuse box. It's for the ignition coil. These fuses are getting old and breaking. It's hard to see it visually that's why I suggest replacing with a new fuse.
If that's not the problem, check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail. It should be over 50 pounds.

Even if it ends up not being the part needed, its a piece of mind to have it replaced anyway because they almost all eventually fail with the age of our cars.
Most of us even after replacing the CPS still carry a spare new one with us.
I highly recommend all Crossfire owners to carry a new spare CPS at all times and these tools as well to replace it if needed. (see attachment)
