Hi George, I'd like to have that file . . . Could you e-mail it to me so I can download it? THANKS, Bob Davis RedDogNumber1@aol.com . . .
I got the actual copy from Chrysler but they are all gone now.

The link for that no longer works, but I have it on my PC.
If you can suggest some place I can upload it so all can reference, I'll be happy to do that.

It works on the CICCI site, I have just checked it. It is in the Parts and Service section.
I got the actual copy from Chrysler but they are all gone now. It is an excellent addition to the service manual as it explains a lot.
I also got the update that was specifically for the roadster and the SRT supercharged engine, I'm not sure if that is still available.

The Chrysler site that sells the Owners Manual is the place to look for them, or was anyway.
Sometimes the Student book comes up on eBay, but not often.
Go to The Crysler Tech Authority for any available books and manuals. It is mentioned in the Owners Manual at the back. Neither of the two books I mentioned seem to be available now. I guess I got them just in time. You can download the Owners Manuals for free from the Tech Authority site and that is where the ones on this site came from I guess.

When I say copies I mean the actual books, they were available until the last few months, the student book is not available now, I am not sure about the other one.

I had a brand new student book available to the Canadian members when they were available cheaply in the US from Chrysler (shipping, handling and UPS fees were shocking) and no one wanted it.
A poor copy of it is available here in the Documents thread of course. The S/C and Roadster book seems rare though and I have found no PDF files on it anywhere.
One issue was that arounf 2006 somebody at Chrysler had the bright idea of making computerized service manuals modular. A good idea since may cars use the same drivetrain. A bad one since the format chosen was Adobe scaled vector graphics (.SVG). The problem is that Adobe stopped supporting SVG in 2011.
The second issue is that according to TA "Description: This CD in NOT compatible with MAC operating systems. Only Windows operating systems and Internet Explorer are supported. "
In fact when the CD for my GC came out it only worked with IE 6 and 8. Fagedabout Windows 8 or later. I worked with some people at Bosch to "fix" it since I keep service manuals for all of my vehicles on a tablet.
The third problem is that both the CDs for my '12 GC and the '07 XF have over 10,000 files in each, not one convenient .pdf like the '05 SM. This makes a global search difficult.
So for most of my work on the Crossie I use the '05 manual and only go to the '07 if I run into something odd (like the knee air bags).
Now the '07 XF CD is NLA from Tech Authority, they only have the $300+ (inc S&H) print manual. Does the forum have a way to request permission from Chrysler to post NLA manuals ? (I am on a GM forum that did.)

Too much work to do properly.

I have both books in my hands.
We need a way to scan 'em! Staples would do it for 50 cents per page. I told them I could buy the equipment myself for that much.
I am not going to bother to do this.
I am willing, I have the software and the scanner. Preserving the documentation for the breed would be good but that's only my two cents. How far from Michigan are you?
These books were available for ten years, others besides me must have purchased them.
