That would be a welcome addition for quite a few owners I suspect. Please send it to me.

PM me for my e-mail if you don't have it. If you do... PM me with which one you sent it to.

I will PM you after the Holidays, The laptop that the TSB's were on took a dump yesterday. I'll try to recover them during the week. Stay away from Sony's Vaio laptops, I'm probably going to be replacing my second motherboard in the last 6 months

no need we know the 2004's are the same as the 2006 except for minor TSB updates

But the 2006 manual includes the SRT-6 and Roadster parts. The 2004 manual would not have. That is why he changed it.

why would the 2006 manual include the srt6? that car was not made in 2005. wasn't it only built for 2003-3004 and AMG shut it down after that.

The SRT-6 was a 2005 and 2006(very few) model only. The Roadster(Limited/Base) was 2005 thru 2008. That 2006 Parts Manual covers all of them: Coupe, Roadster, Limited/Base, and SRT-6.

The 2006 SRT-6 were never meant for sale. They may have already printed and released the 2006 manuals before they decided to terminate production of the SRT-6.

Probably so, because the 2006 crossfire brochure has the srt6 in it.

I found a mistake on the torque specs of the repair manual, under the brake caliper pin torqe, it says 75ft/lbs, this is to high and you'll snap the floating pins. the correct torque should be about 25-30ft.lbs.

Did you find this out the hard way or realize this by noticing the error.

Thanks for the update Maxwell...

I'll see if I can edit the PDF to reflect this and then upload the corrected version.

Hi to all -

The Crossfire Forum is a great resource.

If anyone has an idea as to why the check engine light came on at 7,400 miles I would like to hear from you.

This is on an SRT 6.

The performance of the car changed today (1-12-08) in that it accelerates normally under a lot of throttle from a stop or lower speeds. And then it does not at 50 or so. When it does not, the acceleration is like the engine is using only about 2/3 of its potential and the high pitched sound (supercharger perhaps) is not evident.

The only thing I noticed before the change in performance today and the light coming on is that there was a hesitation after backing up slowly and then going forward at a relativlely slow speed. The hesitation was momentary. The car was fine on this drive. When it went out a second time today, I drove it two miles, stopped, and when I restarted it in about five minutes, the check engine light came on right away. It drove well in traffice but when acceleration was expected at 50 MPH on the open road, it was not there. The acceleration was smooth but a lot slower than it should be.

One other thing I noticed about two weeks ago was that at 3K RPM (in 1st or 2nd) there was a change in the sound of the engine. Sometimes it happend and sometines it did not.The SRT 6-trained tec at the dealer did not have much to say about it.

Any insights you have would be helpful.

I plan to call the dealership on Monday to take it in ASAP.

Thanks,,

Ben

MMZ_TimeLord,

I have a 2005 Limited Roadster. Do you have a service manual that covers the limited Roadster. The 2004 manual does not cover the Roadster since it was not available until a 2005 model.

Thanks....Ben
