Default Scosche VW01B (No Blue Wire?)

Hi all, just wondering I am about to install my Jensen HD5112 head unit. I finally received all the parts necessary for the installation to go smoothly, atleast I thought. When I was splicing the wires of the aftermarket head unit and the recently purchased (through crutchfield) Scosche VW01B Wiring Harness, I noticed that the VW01B has no blue or blue-white wire. Should I be concerned about this. What specifically is the function of the BLUE WIRE?

The blue wire should be the amp remote turn on.. which should be pink on the wire harnes... if you don't connect this wire you will get no sound.

In fact, I used the same harness from Crutchfield to install my Pioneer. It included a separate piece of paper showing what to do with this blue wire.

I think I recall it also being used for a motorized antenna?

Thank you for the quick reply, I will surely try this and once I receive the removal tools will attempt the installation. Did you need to bypass the factory amp, if so how did you do this, what were the connections you needed to either connect or disconnect?
Thanks!

Don't listen to Crutchfield on anything they say, except you DO need to switch the yellow & red wire.

You don't need to bypass the amp, re-wire any speakers, etc. Just match up the colors on the harness to your headunit, make sure to connect the pink wire to the blue amp turn on wire, and you should be set..

Thank you so much for your help. I just bought the Jensen hd5112 head unit. I have everything except for the removal tool which I now I realize shouldn't have purchased through ebay. I will take a photo of the installation once it is complete. Thank you again for all your help.

I have to agree on this. I wired mine just like the diagram showed (new speaker OUTS to OEM amp IN), and it really sounds great. A huge improvment!
