Blower Control Runs All the Time
The blower control in my 04 Crossfire runs for more than 30 minutes even when the ignition key is turned off and removed. I read several threads that suggested a faulty blower control may have a tendency to be shorted out. Accordingly, I bought a used one from LKQ and when I installed it, it did the same as the original one. LKQ promised to send me a replacement on the assumption that the used one is also shorted out. I know many of the Crossfire owners have experienced a similar situation, I wonder if the fault is the blower control or the blower regulator. I am surprised at the fact that Mercedes SLK which uses the same units does not experience problems with the climate control like the Crossfire. I would appreciate the information.
I had the problem of my blower switching from regular to low speed no matter what I have the switch set at. Cold A/C, just no high fan. The Chrysler dealer had hard time figuring out what the problem was. replaced the control head, did nothing, replaced the entire blower, nothing. They finally replaced the fan blower resister which has a ceramic housing and they found cracked. That fixed it. Dont know, maybe thats your delima. Good luck!

Thanks for coming back and posting the fix. Too many times folks ask for assistance for a problem and then they don't respond back with what the final fix was.
My '05 does something similar sometimes. It's been a while but the heat will come on and the blower is full blast no matter the setting. Hitting the dash will stop it half the time. It hasn't done this in a while. It always seems to when it's 90+ degrees outside!
