I had to re-solder the exact same points on my 2004. Those were the only ones that were suspect on the entire board. I got stranded in a parking lot and had to take the thing apart right there to inspect the solder joints. Got it home and took it apart this morning and re-solder the pins and put it back together and it started right up. Man is this a great sight or what. Hope it takes care of the air sensor problem also. Time will tell. Thanks for the excellent advise.

Well, looks like my 2007 is experiencing the "Mystery No Start" issue. Fortunately for me, it's in the driveway and hasn't left me stranded somewhere on the road. Probably will take time this weekend to remove the RCM and re-solder the pins.

Later,

Removed the RCM from my 2007 Coupe this afternon. Initial inspection looks like the solder joints in question are still good. Gotta magnify so I can see better.

So like a dumb ***, I forgot to lock the XFire before I disconnected the battery & removed the RCM. I can lock both doors, but the hatch I can't without hooking the battery back up (I think). Thought I would ask if there is any risk associated with me connecting the negative cable to the battery (with the RCM removed) just long enough so I can lock up the XFire.

None at all. I have removed and installed RCM's at least 20 times without disconnecting the negative cable, I believe the same is true for DJ ( tighed1 ).

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll go lock up the Crossfire right now.

Couple of pics of the solder joints typically in question from my RCM. Initial look see isn't that bad. Curious of others perspective.

If it's apart just re-solder them...

Really having issues getting a code scanner to connect on the Crossfire. My cell phone & tablet both see the BluedDriver, but won't connect. All the other code scanners I've got or recently purchased won't connect either. Getting frustrated!

Any advice?

What type of phone & tablet? If running IOS, you'll need specific scanners that hook through WIFI....

Just to prove the tools are working I would walk over to my other car(s) and hook up to one of them. We need to discern if this is a connect to the Crossfire issue or something else.

My car currently has no power at all, it's not the battery, or alternator. This morning the starter engaged about 3 times. i was able to start the engine with a marine battery. The hood wont shut with that. I inspected the module and the 20 amp fuse was bad, I fixed it the module looks good it's from 2011. I bought new terminals and another battery no change. I maxed out my skills, I had a mystery no start in 2011. Any help is appreciated. My 2nd pcm is here if further testing with it will help. Also have a body control module that is extra.

Quick question for you kind folks:

I'm currently investigating this issue as I get the P0410 code consistently. I pulled out the RCM, and it looked alright as far as the soldered connections go, but I still have my doubts about their integrity. I think I'm going to pull it out again and touch everything up, specifically the connections noted in this thread.

My question to you all is this: I'm also starting to get the BAS/ESP light more consistently. This had been a problem that had cropped up in the past, but ever since pulling the RCM out I seem to be getting it every other day or so.

Does the RCM have anything to do with the BAS/ESP light? Could bad connections on the RCM cause the BAS/ESP light in the same way it causes the secondary air injection pump issue? Is there any way at all that I can correlate these two things? I'd love to be able to knock two birds out with one stone here.

Thanks!
