Glass misaligned ?
Hi there people
Could someone please forward me a link on how to adjust the glass alignment on the doors as my drivers door is letting in water!
I know there are details on this forum but I've been looking for hours and can not find it!!!
Also can you adjust the glass without removing the door pannel?
Cheers

Check the TSB (technical service bulliten) sticky, I believe there is a TSB for misaligned windows. Copy/print it out and go to a Chrysler dealer for the service to be performed. It should be covered even if your warranty has expired.....

Recalls are paid for by Chrysler at all times. These are generally problems of safety.

By the way, simply adjust the angle and length of your window and the water will stop. I had the same problem and a simple window adjustment worked for me. I didn't do it myself but I know a lot about this problem. Feel free to send me an email for more details.

Actually 2 dealerships told me the same exact thing so it must be a fact. A TSB alone is not enough to get something covered under the warranty.

The window adjustment is covered in the following excerpt from the Shop Manual on page 96.
I have to do it to one of my windows because of wind noise fortunately it doesn't leak and I am a bit deaf in that ear, but passengers do whine at times.

For example...I complained about the window problem and they could see my issue. I even showed them the TSB so they could see how to fix it. They said any window adjustment is not covered in the max care extended warranty unless it effects something that is covered. In other words, they could not just do a simple window adjustment. So the trick is in the bolt. I told them that if they needed to order the bolt then it would automatically make the job covered.... they went back to the computer and said "yes it would". They called me and confirmed that they did in fact need to get a new bolt for my window which automatically made the job covered under my warranty. I knew about the bolt only because 2 other dealerships were kind enough to give me that clue. That was the work around. If my bumper to bumper warranty was still good then they would fix the window for free with no hassle.
As for your window problem... I say that if it isn't leaking don't touch it. Mine was so I had no choice. It took them a couple times to get it right but it is good now. It is probably best to have it done a couple times anyway with slight adjustments each time.
