Default Brake Light Socket Replacement

Does anyone know if this part can be purchased for the crossfire? The socket has a red and green wire and maybe a plug to go into the harness. Just wondered if it was available as I screwed up one wire on mine but still working. Ron

I thought I would learn something here and all I found was a question. This area is for answers not questions.
See my answer in the twin post to this one.

Just a hint, people tend to ignore the same post in different forums. Your post count would be much less if you did not double post, you had eight posts in the problems forum about being unable to post pictures alone.

I guess I'll find another site. Really don't need to be out of work and hear your crap today. Simple question and no answer. I made a mistake putting it in the wrong spot, KILL ME! If you have an answer show me where you hid it. I'll go to it! I did not post 8 posts about posting pics as I was answered and started doing it the new way. Happy Holidays.........

Thanks for the info! Mine is a 2008 roadster and I only see up to 2006 but they all must use the same parts numbers I would think. Ron

Darticus, Maybe I understand and maybe I don't. If you were to completely remove your taillight from your car and unplug the wiring quick disconnect. The taillight will then have the remaining other half of the disconnect attached to your taillight with three sockets attached by the wiring. Are you needing the wiring and sockets that remains onto the removed taillight? Squirrel Crusher

Darticus posted that in 2009 and last posted in March of 2013.
I am sure he fixed it somehow.

Once I remove the other half of the disconnect, I am left with three sockets and the remaining wiring. This is what I need. One of my sockets is broke and i need this part. I tried ordering from Chrsyler, but they didn't have the part. I have gone to auto parts stores and they don't either. The problem is I don't live in a big city, so I cant just go to the junkyard to pull the part off the car. I have also tried to find the part on eBay with no luck. Another idea I had was looking for a similar Chrysler model of car and hopefully pulling the three socket wiring harness off it and that part fitting.

If you look at the part you will find a part number on it. It will not be the Mercedes part number but the makers part number. Also lookfor the maker or makers Logo on it.all these parts have a number moulded on them.
Then search on the web for the part, I got spare front parking light sockets this way.

These German bulb sockets aren't made to except American style bulbs. Even thou the bulbs look simular, the pin post spacing on the bulbs side are spaced differently. I sent you a PM. I should be able to hook you up with what you need. Squirrel Crusher

You can thank my horse for the trashed lens and resulting "spare" harness.. LOL
