Default How to remove door panel

I was bored and did a step by step instructions with pics. I know there is a thread about this. I tried to make it more clear with bigger pics. When you are newbie to something, even removing a simple bolt seems confusing and hard. So i tried to be as clear as i could

Thanks to ACRucrazy for his original thread which helped me while doing this job.

Do this at your own risk.

Not included in pics but simply pop the little triangle piece at the inner corner of the door first. just pull it off.

Take your time while doing this.

Installation is reverse. press the door panel hard when you put it back in so the little push in clips will lock.

Great information, I have one question though. How do you get to the Torx screws now that your "grab handle" is wrapped in leather? I really like the way it looks and am thinking of doing the same thing.

The screws are inside the door pull, it 'cracks' apart at the center of inside and outside pieces...

I understand how to do that on the chrome handles, but his looks like one piece of leather wrapped around the 2 pieces.

I can not comment on Muscle's setup, but many others here have wrapped the two pieces seperately and put them back together in the OEM fashion. If you did one piece, I would recommend hiding a quick release feature in the back of the wrap like velcro or something similar in case you need to remove the door panels.

Copy it (text and pictures) and paste it into Word or some such program. Easy peasy.

Mine had the screws removed prior to leather wrapping. It was still very tight.

So is it possible to remove the door handle/tweeter trim piece with a small flat head screwdriver without damage?

Yes, but be careful. A plastic blade is better.
