Throttle Body
Hey guy's, I'm new to the forums here. Just bought my 05 Crossfire last month and I'm just taking care of some maintenance on it. I took it to the dealership had them inspect it look for any problems. They recommended I have the throttle body cleaned and I figured this was something I could do on my own. So I just have some questions; is it something fairly easy to do and what do I need to clean it with?

It's just 4 bolts, remove the venturi for the crank case breathers and get a new TB gasket from Rob at NeedsWings. Take a rag, shoot it with carb cleaner and wipe everything down. Don't spray carb cleaner directly on the TB as you can wreck the bearings in the TB by doing that. Use a few q-tips to get into the places you can't with the rag, put it back on and enjoy a beer when you're done.

They are really stretching to find work. I suppose they'll want to lubricate the muffler bearings at a later date.
