Default Conversion of Electronic Display to Metric

I'm new to the forum and I'm planning on buying a Crossfire and bringing it home to Toronto. Is there a method for ensuring that the DRL's can be turned on in an '07 Crossifre (automatic) AND is there a way to change the display (trip mileage, temp etc.) to Kilometers/Centigrade? How is that done?

Thanks for any information that you can share. Dealerships in the US have told me that only Canadian Tire can make the change to the DRL and Canadian Tire says they need to replace a switch module for about $250. No one can tell me about the possiblity of changing the mileage display or temp display to metric. Not a critical item, but it would be useful to know.

Thanks in advance!

The best way to get the DTRL's is to replace the switch, this seems to be the favorite method if you can get one. It appears that there is no actual law that says you need the DTRL's, there is a rule that says Canadian cars have to have them on to get licensed. So borrow a switch for the Canadian tire test and give it back when you have passed.
I would think that the mileage and temperature may be changed at a dealer using the computer gizmo.
There are many articles on this site that concern the importation of cars. Use the search feature to show your willing, report back and help will come freely.

Yes, readouts can be changed to metric by dealer using computer "gizmo".

Ive been wanting to get the units changed over to imperial, but so far ive just learned to live with it, i just do the temp conversion in my head. Plus having the look of lower milage is cool when showing friends. 7200mi right now for me.

But as far as DRL's, if you just want a temp fix that you an put back to stock when your done the test, take a look at the bottom of the thread https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-question.html
I posted a little tidbit that i did when i brought mine over.. Not really designed to be a permanet fix, but its quick and simple. And you pass.

No I haven't Steve, but I have watched one being converted. I may get it done after the Winter.
