Have 2004 Crossfire and can't get the headlight adjusted properly Help

 

1st, make sure the bulbs are seated properly. This can be a problem. If you have a pool of light right in front of the car, this is most likely the trouble.
I loosen the clips that hold the bulbs in and re-seat the bulbs in the socket while watching the focus of the beam.

The lights have to be ON to do this, of course!

Hi sir maxcichon,I have a problem in terms of putting the light back in. It didn't aim right. I don't know what is still wrong since I followed every instruction I got from car problems. How do I aim the lights? Matching it with the level on the other side doesn't give me good results either. Tried to turn the **** but it looks worse than the first.

 

Jack - you probably didn't need to turn the adjustment ****, you probably need to get the bulbs seated properly. I'm sure you already know about making sure the notch and tab are lined up properly - but even when that is done, it comes down to a gnat's *** tweak which makes all the difference. Turn the lights on, loosen the spring clamp, hold the bulb in place and move it around a little bit - suddenly, everything falls into place. While holding the bulb in place, fasten the spring clip. You'll be amazed and how it seems like you're not changing anything, but it makes all the difference in the world.

 

X2. This is the best way to do it.

 

I have done it without removing the spring tension. I pushed the bulb plug and in it moved into position with a click.
Maybe I was lucky, but the bulb tends to move out of position when you try to snap the spring into place.

 

I agree. Definitely try it with the spring clip in place first.

 

I had this problem when I first got mine. I fooled around with those bulbs for weeks. It came down to my cars front had been hit some time in the past and they put the same headlight housing back on because it looked undamaged. The two projecter housings inside were knocked out of alighnment with each other and no amount of bulb fiddleing was going to fix them. I got another off of ebay to cure it.

 

Had headlights adjusted at Chrysler dealer for 110.00 bucks then took it to a Ford dealer and traded it in on a new Mustang. Problem solved.
