Tranny fluid ? Need some advice ...
After searching, I still can't find a definite answer ...... I may need to add Transmission fluid ..... I have the woody cable tie measuring dipstick, and the fluid does measure a little low. 17000 miles on the car, and I assume the original fluid is in the transmission. My concern is that I have purchased Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF Multi-Vehicle Formula for automatic transmissions. It says it is suitable for MB 236.1,236.2,236.5,236.6,236.7, and 236.9. Most of my searches here, has said to use the MB 236.12.......
Can I add this to the transmission fluid without any worry?
BTW .... I measured the fluid level after the car was driven about 15 miles, and running and in "park", on level ground.
