Default Hood liner sagging ... need suggestions

I've tried searching to see if anyone has come up with a way to stop the sag. My hood liner is sagging on my N/A just about over the Chrysler wing on the engine cover. It has coused some of the finish of the engine cover to rub off. I read where 180 cut a slit in the liner and tried double-stick tape to no success. Another member cut out a square in the liner. Don't really want to do that. I don't mind putting a slit in the liner, but I'd like to retain as much of the original look as possible. Anyone had success doing something to correct this?
BTW: removing the liner is a last resort .......

Just an idea :

I would try using a medical syringe and draw some adhesive into it. Poke it through the sagging area and then squeeze the syringe so that the adhesive is sprayed or applied to the underside of the hood. Remove the syringe and then press the hood liner up against the hood and support in place.
I would think there are several adhesives that could work.

yeah ... I thought of something like this .... pharmacies have oral dose syringes that they give to patients for dosing liquids to pets and children. I've never worked with RTV sealant, or that black stuff they sell for attaching rubber moldings, but is something like that thin enuff to flow thru a "syringe" thingy? Probably dont need a lot. Thanx Sparkie

What the heck just remove it. Mine never had one when I bought it and I've never missed it.

dont bother with a syringe, get a can of 3m adheasive, pop a few of the round tacks holding it on, spray and press, then put tacks back. On another note I had recently pulled mine off and thought it would look ghetto but it was really sweet loking without it.\

You can't stop the headliner... It will eventually fall down. Get it redone. Cost me 140 and it took the professional a few hours. Actually it was 120 but I threw the guy a 20 dollar tip because he did it without messing up my interior.

He said hood liner not headliner.
I tried the slit and double sided tape and it did not work at all well.
Sparkies idea is good I think, use contact cement, let it get tacky and press it down.
