I was wondering if any one could help me out here, I just got the 04 auto dim mirror and want to install it, but I could not get the other half of the connector so I have to wire it directly to the G/O harness and I am not sure which color wires to use to connect it. It is a 6 pin female connector with 5 wires #1 is Brown, #2 is left blank/open, #3 is Black, #4 is violet, #5 is a dark brown, and #6 is yellow. I have been in several xfire manuals and can not find just the mirror wires and what there used for. I hate to start a new thread about this but did the search and came up with nothing that helped, so if any one knows how to do this could use please hook me up. Thanks in advance

Thanks been all through that one also, but that does not show the posistions of the terminals that plug into the mirror, I only have the mirror side of harness and could not get the one connector plug from the headliner/body harness, thats why I was asking about the color of wires on the mirror side with no connector to plug in to, how can I wire it ????

 

Well I got it all together and it is working, I just did not want to short out the mirror by connecting it wrong (since it seemed to appear that none of the colors matched) So if any one else runs into this problem you'll need to use pins #6, #4, and #3. #6 is yellow and for the reverse signal, #4 is violet and is used with switched 12+ volts, and then #3 is black and is for ground.

 

I own an '04 but never really paid much attention to the mirror change when backing. Is it noticable to know that it is working? JC. James
