Default Rear Speakers

Need a little help.

My passenger side rear speaker sounds bad. I own a 2004 Limited Coupe.

Before I go and take out the rear speakers I would like to know what size they are and are they 2-way, 3 way or 4 way? Are they 6 1/2 inch?

I would like to buy the replacement speakers and while everything is torn apart just put the new ones in.

Any help would be great. Thank you.

The rear speakers are sub woofers. You don't get much sound from them just bass.

I'm not sure on the size but you might find this handy if you're going to replace the speakers.

Though Your Door Mids May be torn it is because they have been trying to do the Job of the Subs! Those subs are fine it is the way they are wired that creates distortion in the Mids.

Just go to Audio, Video and Electronics and check out the Biggest bang for the Buck Sticky

Hi DCR, the rear speakers are 6.5 inch subs, however! They are free air and good luck fitting a replacement in there. I tried but had no success, the magnet on the subs I bought was too big. There are a few recent threads that have some replacements if you want one other than OEM.

Lurkingfear, Thank you for the follow-up. After going to the stealership and getting a price of over $300.00 for a replacement speaker I did some research. I found a place in Tampa, FL call Speaker Exchange. They rebulit the speaker for $38.00. It took them 4 days and it sounds great. It was hard to spend $300.00+ for a replacement. I would recomment them all day long. They can be found @ Speaker Exchange
