Default Gear Change Help!

Hi I have an 04 UK Auto Coupe. How can I get it to select up And down gears manually? I place it in Summer (S) mode, then in drive (D) but when I push the stick in drive left or right nothing happens?!!

That's an easy one, if you want to change gears you need the third pedal option!

Ha, couldn't resist

Definately more information needed! Are you looking at the little display under the tach? The left side of it is where you'll see the "D", "4", "3", and such indicators. I read here if the gear indicator is just a pixelated rectangle standing on end and the car is moving, there is a problem with the TCU/electronics. Too many things it can be. If the car's speed is out of the range of a gear your trying to select, it will not shift. When are you trying to shift, up? Down?? bring a bit more to the question before anyone can give a reasonable/reliable answer. Have you gone through your owners manual or the service manuals here in the forum? Finally, if it is right hand drive the display may be different then what I described for my left hand drive display. Good luck!
