Rocker panel and jack pad removal question
Does anyone know how to remove the plastic jack pads underneath the vehicle to be able to remove the rocker panel (side skirts)? it looks like there is a slit in the middle for a flat screwdriver, but it won't unscrew, I am assuming you have to find the right position for tabs to release or something along those lines? any help from someone that has removed them in the past would be appreciated, thanks.

The secret is to lightly pry the pad toward the ground while unscrewing the screw. This action starts the screwed end of the screw into the threaded hole in the pad. It is quite an ingenious assembly. You need a nice wide tool as the screwdriver or it gets too awkward to do.

I took a couple out and it took some time to find out how.

do you mean pry the pad REARWARD OR TOWARD? you mean the whole rectangular pad, not the actual round plastic retainer (screw) right?

Pry toward the ground and then unscrew.
Jacked up the car on the drivers front pad yesterday to pull the wheel and when I let the jack down the pad was laying on the jack. Appears two of the threaded tabs were broken off. Are all four pads the same or do I need a front?

I decided to take another path in the removal of the old jack pads and the install of the new pads on my SRT6.
Listed below are the steps I took for this procedure:
1.) The tools used for the procedure included an electric angle drill (for clearance issues), 3/8" drill bit, small screw driver and a rubber mallet.
2.) Drill out the flathead screw head (the screw shaft is hollow), when that's completed, use the small screw driver to push the screw shaft upward and the pad and screw shaft will drop to the floor.
3.) Installation is simple, aligning the slot on the pad to the post, holding it in place, while using a rubber mallet to tap the screw head to the flush position, no need to screw it into place. The pad is secure.
4.) This procedure took about 10 minutes for each pad, from the removal to the installation of the new jack pad.
This procedure is for a standard height SRT6 or N/A, there maybe clearance issues with a lowered suspension Crossfire.

The part number is 05099715AA and I bought them from my selling dealership, but I've used this supplier below for parts in the past. I've seen them on Ebay as well.
