TPS Sensor; Any how too's?
Edit: I mean't How To's, but oh well lol.
Forgive me if there's a thread on here, but I'm a bit of a YouTube mechanic, so on a scale of 1-10 as a Crossfire Mechanic Saiyin, I'm about a 5.3.
I have a TPS code signaling with the CE light on. I've read it could be a vacuum leak etc, or a loose throttle body, but again, I have no real idea on how to check these. I watched the vid on the removal and upgrade, but I haven't seen anything strictly for the TPS.
Does anyone have a link? I can't seem to find one.
Thank you

The TPS on the M112 is an integral part of the throttle body.
You can try removing the plastic side cover and spraying the board runs and contact fingers with electrical cleaner.

I've read you saying that before, and when you say the boards runs and contact fingers.....you're referring to what exactly?
Sorry, lol, I'm trying to follow along as much as possible!
Thanks
With the cover off, you'll see what I mean. BTW, problem could also be the sensor in the throttle pedal.
But, I'm hoping it's not the TSPS, that would totally be something I'm not mentally ready for, but if it's possible to fix I'll give it a try.
Thanks again though, I'm sure the newbie questions can get old and redundant.
I'll report back after completion.
Just for FYI purposes:
After removing the plastic cover from the engine, while facing it, the TPS is located on the bottom right side of the throttle body.
I believe this is correct, and if someone could confirm, that would be great.
Just spreading the word for others that may not know.

I'll go ahead and replace the TPS next weekend, and if that doesn't work, I'll move onto the throttle pedal headache, lol.
Edit: Does anyone know where I can pick up the 2 sensors? The TPS, and the one for the pedal? Thanks

Sorry to post so much, but I just found out the price the accelerator sensor, and ouch. Seems I had my acronyms wrong.
So, I'll do a search on this site in hopes someone has found a good place to buy both.

you can probably get the throttle body from the same place.
NOTE: 68 mm or 74 mm TB will work on the M112 engine.
Here one for $52 :

Oh wow, thank you for that. I was way off in regards to pricing. So, I would have to replace the whole throttle body instead of just replacing the TPS?
I mean, I'll give it a shot, but I'm just asking for education purposes.
Thank you again
Ok, last post ( for a while)
So, I just printed out the pdf for the 74mm N/A upgrade.
I sound like a total Newb lol. Oh well, to the experienced mechanics here, I hope you enjoyed the laugh lol.
Have a great day everyone!

Replaced the Throttle Body, and the Accelerator pedal today, and unfortunately the CE light is still on.
P.S. I think I earned my mechanics badge today, but it's back to the drawing board.

Hi!
I went through and read everything you went through and I'm currently at this point, and was wondering if you figured out what the solution was to this fix?
Thanks!
